One of our CIFA members, Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIED), would like to invite all of you to attend the SBFC Symposium and Resilient Couples, Strong Families – A Psycho-Educational Workshop to be held on June 25th 2011. Admission is FREE for both the Symposium and Couple Resilience
Workshop.
The piercing of balloons by our guests was a highlight of the Kick Off Ceremony. The colourful balloons represent the joyfulness, fun and love of families, while piercing the colourful balloons symbolize that CIFA will continue to promote family well-being and bring happiness to families in the Asian Region through their work.
This is a soft reminder to inform you that the CIFA Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2011 will be held on 28th April, 2011 (Thursday) at 5:00pm (Hong Kong time) at HKU Family Institute. Notice of AGM had been circulated by the end of March as stipulated by MAA. Please reply and indicate your attendance before the deadline.
Have you ever thought of walking in a nice warm weather, with the smell of fresh air and blooming flowers around? And more, you would be doing something meaningful and helpful at the same time? This is a chance to experience all these on a Sunday morning in spring!
A Fund-raising walk- “Walk for Family Well-being” 「CIFA 家庭健步行」 will be held on 17th April, 2011 (Sunday) from 9am to 12noon. This walkathon will provide a great opportunity for members, supporters and their families to enjoy a walk in a relaxing manner while promoting the importance of family well-being. Last but not least, it will raise the profile of CIFA and raise funds to support the work of CIFA.
A fund-raising walk- “Walk for Family Well-being” is scheduled on 17th April, 2011 (Sunday) from 9:30 am to 12:00noon. Walkers are going to walk from Aberdeen Country Park to Wanchai Gap, along the Aberdeen Reservoir area. The Aberdeen Country Park is one of the oldest country parks in Hong Kong, and the sylvan environment of the park makes it ideal for hikes and strolls, especially in spring.
A 2-day working session was facilitated by Dr. Wai Yung LEE, the Principle Investigator of the ‘Decoding How Contemporary Couple Negotiate Differences’ cross-regional study at the Hong Kong University Family Institute on 27th and 28th January 2011.
Curiosity surrounding sexuality is “normal” in the process of development. Beginning with exploration of the body, an infant or toddler will proceed on to questions such as “Where do baby’s come from?” in elementary school and “What is happening to me?” as puberty begins.
Ongoing meetings between the WEP Development Committee and the representatives from the Vocation Training Council are being held with the view to enhance the CIFA WEP, adding new functions and making it more user-friendly. We are aiming to complete the task by the end of May 2011. We will keep you posted on the progress.
