To learn life’s lesson from water:
It’s tender and it is forceful, it is round and
angular.
To be still, to be mobile, to be versatile, to be

While wishing you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2012, it is time to look back on 2011 which is a
busy, productive and exciting year for CIFA.
We have witnessed significant development in the work of CIFA, which continued to serve as the
platform for sharing and networking in the Asian region in achieving its mission of “Converging
Professional Wisdom for Family Well-being.” CIFA is gradually gaining more recognition and support
from the various sectors in the region and laying a solid foundation for further development. I would like
to take this opportunity to brief you on these achievements:
Bustle and hustle, I still have a moment for

A new generation of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth are coming of age in a society increasingly tolerant and yet still deeply divided about homosexuality. On one hand, there is increased openness, media attention, and an older generation of openly gay and lesbian role models.
The 2nd Regional Symposium of CIFA was held from 26th to 28th November 2010 in the beautiful campus of the University of Tokyo in Japan with over 300 participants from eight countries/regions. It was preceded by 5 pre-Symposium workshops which were all fully enrolled.
“A charity Concert for Family Harmony” “愛樂愛家共諎和諧 慈善音樂會” was successfully held, with
the wonderful performance of the SAR Philharmonic Orchestra, Ms. Lan Rao and Dr. Julie Bees.
The website on the 3rd Regional Symposium has been launched on 11th November, 2011 at 11:00a.m.,
an auspicious date and time that symbolizes a good start for the Symposium!
