First Round Result Announcement

The Wofoo 3A Project 2020 has received very encouraging response despite the pandemic outbreak, with a total of 30 submissions covering a wide range of topics from 4 countries/regions including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. The Screening Committee has gone through the vetting process of high quality entries with 16 projects shortlisted to enter the Second Round Adjudication.

Shortlisted projects are required to submit the second round submission to the CIFA Secretariat according to the set guideline either by mail or courier not later than 5:00pm on 29 January, 2021 (according to postal chop date). An interview will be arranged either on 18 or 19 March 2021. Project presenters will be interviewed either in person or via Zoom for further elaboration of their projects and clarify adjudicators’ queries. Eight projects will be selected for the Final Round Adjudication to be held during the 6th CIFA Regional Symposium in Taiwan on 10 June 2021, to be followed by the Award Presentation Ceremony at the Gala Dinner that evening.

Latest Announcement

We have received requests for the extension of deadline for submission of initial applications. We fully understand that many of the potential organisations are still handling issues related to the Covid19 pandemic, and would like to have more time to submit their applications. CIFA has decided to adjust the deadline for of the Submission of Initial Application to 31 October 2020.

The rest of the time line remains unchanged as announced earlier as following:

a. Announcement of First Round Adjudication Results: 20 November, 2020
b. Deadline for Submission of Projects for Second Round Adjudication: 29 January, 202
c. Second Round Adjudication Interview: 18-19 March, 2021
d. Announcement of Second Round Adjudication Results: 16 April, 2021
e. Final Round Adjudication (in Taiwan): 10 June, 2021
f. Award Presentation Ceremony will be held at the Gala Dinner (in Taiwan): 10 June, 2021

New Timeline

In the light of the latest development of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 6th CIFA Regional Symposium, where the Final Round Adjudication and Award Presentation of the Wofoo 3A Project 2020 will be held at, will have to be rescheduled to 9-11 June, 2021. Under such circumstances, the adjudication procedures of Wofoo 3A Project 2020 will be adjusted to match with the schedule of the Symposium.

CIFA has decided to adjust the timeline of the Wofoo 3A Project 2020 as following:

a. Deadline for Submission of Initial Application: To be extended to 30 September, 2020
b. Announcement of First Round Adjudication Results: To be postponed to 20 November, 2020
c. Deadline for Submission of Projects for Second Round Adjudication: To be postponed to 29 January, 2021
d. Second Round Adjudication Interview: To be postponed to 18-19 March, 2021
e. Announcement of Second Round Adjudication Results: To be postponed to 16 April, 2021
f. Final Round Adjudication (in Taiwan): To be postponed to 10 June, 2021

To encourage more teams to participate and feel more at ease to present themselves at the Second Round Interview Session in March 2021, we would allow someone from the team to do the translation from their national language to English if needed.

Exchange Programme on Wofoo 3A Project 2020 cum Launching Ceremony of Wofoo 3A Project 2022

The Exchange Programme on Wofoo 3A Project 2020 cum Launching Ceremony of Wofoo 3A Project 2022 to be co-organised with the Family Council to be held online via Zoom on 10 December, 2021 (Friday) at 9:30 am – 5:00 pm. Simultaneous Interpretation in English/ Putonghua will be provided.
 
The Exchange Programme cum Launching Ceremony aims to provide the platform for sharing knowledge and wisdom practice on projects covering a wide variety of topics including 6 and 3 award winning projects in 2020 and 2018 respectively. This event will give an opportunity to report on progress of the projects and to explore the possibility of replication to benefit more families in Asian region, as well as to appeal for submission for the upcoming Wofoo 3A Project 2022.

Grief and Bereavement Conference 2021 organised by Singapore Hospice Council

Organised by the Singapore Hospice Council and following the success of the inaugural local Grief and Bereavement Conference (GBC) in 2018, the 2nd conference is back. The virtual conference will start with a 2-day pre-conference workshop on 20 and 21 September 2021 and followed by the main conference from 22 to 24 September. The theme Tapestries of Grief reflects the uniqueness and universality of individual and collective grief of the local community, and rallies multiple stakeholders from relevant sectors who interface with those touched by death to share, learn and explore how bereavement care can be better woven to form a compassionate network to hold the space for grief. There will be 3 workshop tracks on Healthcare, Community, Practice.
 
Learning Outcomes:
• Consider the repertoire of appropriate responses to the needs of the grieving and bereaved
• Build knowledge on grief and bereavement work
• Increase their capability to deliver grief and bereavement care
• Expand their network of service partners across the care continuum in delivering grief, bereavement and death-related services
