Shortlisted projects are required to submit a 5,000 words description, including appendix and references, of the project to the CIFA Secretariat according to the set guideline either by mail or courier not later than 5:00pm on 2 August, 2024 (according to postal chop date). An interview will be arranged either on 12 or 13 September, 2024. Project presenters will be interviewed either in person or on Zoom for further elaboration of their projects and clarify adjudicators’ queries. Eight projects will be selected for the Final Round Adjudication to be held during the Asian Family Summit in Hong Kong on 28 December, 2024, to be followed by the Award Presentation Ceremony at the Gala Dinner on 29 December, 2024.
 
A resource person will be assigned to each shortlisted team for clarification and/or information on submission and second round arrangements.

Wofoo 3A Project 2024: Further Extension of Deadline for Initial Submission to 31 May, 2024

Upon request of many organisations, CIFA has decided to further extend the deadline for initial submission from 10 May, 2024 to 31 May, 2024. Thus, the announcement of First Round Adjudication Results will be postponed to 7 June, 2024, while other event dates remain unchanged as follows:

a. Announcement of First Round Adjudication Results to be postponed to 7 June, 2024
b. Deadline for submission of Project for Second Round Adjudication on 2 August, 2024
c. Second Round Adjudication Interview on 12-13 September, 2024
d. Announcement of Second Round Adjudication Results on 27 September, 2024
e. Final Round Adjudication (in Hong Kong) on 28 December, 2024
f. Award Presentation Ceremony (in Hong Kong) to be held on 29 December, 2024

Study On Best Practices And Social Impacts

In celebration of the International Day of Families which falls on 15 May every year, the Consortium of Institutes on Family in the Asian Region (CIFA) is pleased to announce the findings of A Study on Best Practices and the Social Impacts of the Wofoo 3A Project, which is a joint research with the Sau Po Centre on Ageing of The University of Hong Kong.

Following a decade of developing and enhancing the Wofoo 3A Project, the Study was conducted utilising a mixed-methods design involving document review and in-depth interviews. A Six Best Practices model adopted by the award-winning teams in congruence with CIFA’s mission was demonstrated, namely the PIE-ISI (i.e., Project rationale, Implementation, Evaluation, Innovation, Sustainability and Replicability, and Institutional Synergy). This practice model is developed and promoted, not only in Asia but also in the international arena.

The paper on the study has been presented by Prof. Vivian W.Q. LOU, Director of the Sau Po Centre on Ageing at the Plenary Session 1 of the 6th CIFA Regional Symposium held online on 10-11 June 2021.
